Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease baking sheets or use parchment paper.

In a big bowl, mix pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, and egg thoroughly.

In another bowl, blend flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt with a whisk. Mix baking soda with milk, add to pumpkin mix. Combine flour mix gently. Avoid overmixing.

Add vanilla and chocolate chips, and stir.

Place spoonfuls of dough on the baking sheets.

Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on sheets briefly, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
