In an early Tuesday Instagram post, the 46-year-old shared a message written in Hebrew, stating, “I extend my heartfelt apologies to the Jewish community for any harm my words or behaviors may have caused. My aim was never to cause offense or disrespect, and I deeply apologize for any hurt inflicted.” He further emphasized his dedication to gaining insights from this situation, aiming for increased awareness and respect moving forward.
Concluding his message, West affirmed, “Earning your understanding and forgiveness is crucial to me, and I’m devoted to fostering harmony and unity.”
Within just five hours, the apology garnered over 750,000 likes on Instagram, sparking curiosity among followers about “Vultures,” Kanye’s upcoming album featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Initial expectations for the album’s release earlier this month have shifted, with recent reports indicating a new launch date set for January 12.
Several commenters expressed dissatisfaction, feeling the apology wasn’t enough.
One user on Instagram commented, “You ought to reflect on your actions. Continuously making anti-Semitic remarks for over a year without justification or understanding is unacceptable! Is this the example you wish to set for your kids?”

Data from the ADL indicates a notable uptick in antisemitic incidents in the U.S. between October 7 and November 20, with a 315% rise compared to the same period the previous year, coinciding with heightened attention on antisemitic comments made by figures like West and Kyrie Irving.
